I have always been a little dubious of savoury ingredients in my juices, however, I finally sampled a delicious 'green juice' at my local health cafe and much to my surprise, really quite enjoyed it. With this new green juice experience behind me, I decided I would go home and experiment a little with what I had in the fridge. Follow this recipe for a deliciously healthy and refreshing juice. It feels like you are putting so much good into your body.

1. Blend half a carrot, half a round of pre-cooked beetroot, a small amount of ginger (about quarter of an inch) and six to eight raspberries.

2. Add two tablespoons of homemade apple puree (Simply boil apples in two table spoons of water and a tablespoon of honey until mushy)

3. Add two table spoons of milk (which ever you fancy, could be soya, almond, cows milk or rice milk)

4. Add four tablespoons of Orange juice

5. Add more juice or milk until you get a smoothie/juice consistency

Health Benefits:

*Better than a sugary 'rot your teeth' pure fruit smoothie

*Ginger is proven to help your digestive system

* Raspberries are a rich source of Vitamin B and Folic acid proven to lift mood

*Apples are a natural source of dietary fibre and full of vitamin C

* Beetroot is rich in iron, magnesium and calcium
